We were moving into a new house since my dad was reassigned at a new area. He was promoted to manager and after a few months of managerial training, he was a given a newly opened branch to handle. We were all excited for him, and sad at the same time since, we were leaving all our friends here.
This was our first time to move, and since we wanted a fresh start at a new place, we decided to sell most of old furniture sets and appliances. The money we got from our garage sale will be used to buy new furniture sets and appliances at our new house. However, instead of having custom made cabinets, what my dad did was bought RTA cabinets. And for some of our furniture, he also bought RTA furniture. My dad was able to buy a lot of things for the new house from the money we got from our garage sale. RTA cabinets and RTA furniture were definitely cheaper that custom made ones, since we did not have to pay any delivery cost or labor. We never thought that you can still save thousands of dollars even if you’re moving into a new house.
