Epson Stylus S21 going for a song
The Epson Stylus S21 is cheap in more than one sense of the word. The running costs however are not so cheap, Epson S21 ink cartridges cost pretty the same price at the printer itself and they don’t yield a huge amount of pages so except to be buying replacement printer ink cartridges quite often. There are compatible printer cartridges available for the S21 and they offer much better value for money. The quality of the print produced by the S21 is good but far from exceptional, text documents when printed at anything less than photo quality, looks a bit fuzzy, and photos too suffer from banding and spotty printing, unless the quality slider is right up to the top. The problem however with increasing the print quality is a reduction in printing speed and this is the S21 Achilles heel. When in photo quality setting it takes a jaw dropping 5 minutes to print one 6×4 photo print, and printing text documents is not much better with a lousy 2.5 pages per minute in standard quality setting. The Epson Stylus S21 is definitely not suited to anyone who needs to print things quickly or needs to print any sort of volume, however it is very cheap and its does print reliably so you can’t really complain about it too much.
