Environmental Heat Reduction

Summer is here and hot days are coming. This is worse in the cities where there are a minimum of trees growing. Trees and greenery has already been documented to reduce the temperature of the surrounding area by 3 to 5 degree centigrade which is separate from the shading effect can be felt in other structures. This is because tree and other greenery breath through very small openings in the leaves. This opening allow water from inside the plant to evaporate out. Evaporation takes a lot of energy to occur and that energy is taken from the outside air, cooling it noticeably.

Thus, planting a tree or leafy bush in the yard can really help in the summer heat. Also, planting a fruit tree, like apple, is much better than any other tree simply because of the fruits. Thus, this is Urban Farming in a small but noticeable way. Also, trees reduce air pollution by absorbing the carbon dioxide in the air and transform into growth or fruits.
