On My Own

My IT certification exams are getting near, and I still have a long way to go on my review.  I’m just too busy at work, going on out-of-town trips every week made it impossible for me to attend training classes.  While looking up IT training classes on the net, I saw a solution to my dilemma, online training courses.  I just needed a broad band internet connection and a web browser.

As part of my training, I also decided to get online training videos that I can bring with me anytime and anywhere, wherein I can train even if I’m out of town or on a business trip.  What’s really good about online training videos is it’s self-paced, thus it’s a right choice people like me with little free time.  It also contains self-assessments, quizzes, hands-on practice lab simulations, interactive videos content, and more to bring the material clearly into focus.  Training for my IT certification exams became convenient for me, since I’m able to train and review on my own time.

In-House Training

There is only one thing constant in this world; that is change.  Everything around us is changing,  whether we like it or not,  change will happen.   This is true especially when it comes to technology.  Computer technology is also changing and developing every year, better programs and systems are being developed every day, and to cope up with these changes, we have to learn and train ourselves .

There are so many ways in which we can learn computer technology, a lot of institutions and schools are offering computer training regardless of your age.  Computer training does not have to be at formal schools, you can also have computer training at the comfort of your own office or at home.  There are a lot of computer training DVDs being sold in the internet and computer stores, with teaching being delivered in a full motion video, and a watch-listen and learn concept, it’s like being taught in a one-on-one manner, thus you are assured to receive the training you need anytime you want to.

Saving Through Renting

My parents gave my brother money to buy his textbooks for college, but instead of buying brand new textbooks at our college bookstore, he went to a store that offers text book rentals.  The books there were not bad at all, at first I thought that the books would be totally worn out and torn apart, with tape holding the pages together, but that was not the case, the books were only slightly used, with a few folds here and there.  It was almost like new.

My brother tried to return the extra cash from his book allowance to our parents, but our parents were really impressed by the efforts he did to try and save, and decided to give him the extra cash.  My brother showed me that it was a good idea to rent a textbook.  It saves a lot of money; since the prices at text book rentals are less than half the prices of new books, and more importantly it provides the same result in class.
